Chiyo was established to bridge the gap in postpartum nutritional care in the U.S. Drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese medicine and holistic approaches.
Since its inception in 2021, Chiyo has delivered over 100,000 meals and experienced a 300% revenue growth in the past year. Recently securing $3 million in financing from investors such as Bread & Butter Ventures, Ingeborg, Union Heritage Ventures, and others, this funding is intended to enhance Chiyo's services and expand its reach to support more mothers nationwide.
Co-founder Irene Liu emphasizes the importance of functional food in women's health, stating, "I wondered why this doesn’t exist in the U.S. Why aren’t we using functional food in this way for a really important lifestyle if your body keeps changing?"
