Hormonal Balance Program Week to Week

Crafted by Dr. Lily Yeh Gillespie and relied on by women for generations, the herbal tonic and bone broth regimen changes based on your menstrual cycle week. Our herbal broth are made with herbs stewed in an 8-hr beef bone broth for maximum benefit and minimizing interactions. All you have to do is add hot water for daily rejuvenation.
Our broth + tonic regimen is designed around your menstrual cycle, and cycles through for 6 weeks.

Week 1

Morning Tonic
Ginger Orange Tea: Pao Jiang (炮姜) or Ginger and Chen Pi (陈皮) or Orange Peel. This herb is warm in nature and good at warming the spleen and stomach, warming the interior, alleviating pain. Qi Stagnation can frequently be associated with conditions such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and menopausal symptoms, as well as the development of digestive disorders. These two herbs together can address stagnation and promote a warming interior.

Supportive Broth
Uterine Broth 1 (Angelica Broth) - Dang Gui / 當歸 / Angelica Sinensis Radix from Tonify the Blood Category. It works by promoting blood flow to the pelvis where it will stimulate an absent or scanty period. It also nourishes the blood, which means it helps with iron deficiency or anemia.

Week 2

Morning Tonic
Cinnamon Honey Tea : In TCM, cinnamon tonifies the kidney. This tonic is warming and unblocks the channels. It is also anti-inflammatory.

Supportive Broth:
Uterine Broth 2 - Nourishing The Essence - Dang Gui/ Angelica Root: this broth helps with early onset of periods, scanty periods, or light colored menstrual blood.

Week 3

Morning Tonic
Licorice Honey Tea: due to its anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties, it can help regulate hormones and reduce PMS, including mood swings, hot flashes and also fight off yeast infection

Supportive Broth
Eight Treasures Decoction: used to Tonify the Qi and Blood. Used to improve complexion, reduce fatigue and dizziness. Building up from the Four Substance Decoction, Eight Treasures adds herbs to improve digestion and regain appetite.

Week 4

Morning Tonic
Rose Petal Vanilla Tea - Rose Petals Vanilla Tea / Mei Gui: Rose Petal is from Regulate Qi Category. Functions: Harmonizes the body and disperse stasis. It helps with irregular menstruation, premenstrual breast tenderness and menstrual pain.

Supportive Broth
Ten Complete Tonify: the past few weeks have been focused on slowly and intentionally adding key herbs in.The Ten Complete Tonify adds everything in to regain your digestion and menstrual rhythms more quickly - a key sign of your body's strength. Astragalus and Cinnamon Bark are further added this week to improve energy, generate warmth and improve circulation.
