Your Fertility Nutrition Sessions - What to Expect
How to Use Your 3 RD Nutrition Sessions to Support Fertility & Egg Health
Whether you’re trying to conceive naturally or preparing for IVF, your nutrition habits can have a powerful impact on egg quality, hormone balance, ovulation, and overall cycle health. Our Chiyo program ensures your plan is tailored to your body & fertility goals.
We’ll get you started on Chiyo’s 4-week Fertility Enhance program, with meals designed to give your body exactly what it needs right now - if you're trying to conceive naturally or preparing for IVF, and what you need to sync your hormones, ovulation, and overall cycle health.
Complementing the program, you’ll have three sessions with your RD (Registered Dietitian) with one goal: build the foundation for conception and long-term reproductive wellness—long after the last delivery box.
Here’s what to expect from your three sessions—and how to make the most of each.

Session 1: Laying the Groundwork: Fertility Nutrition + Full Assessment
Your first session is all about grounding. Your RD Nutritionist will do a full intake to better understand your health history, lifestyle, symptoms, and goals.
✨ What we’ll cover:
-
Medical and reproductive history (e.g., PCOS, thyroid, autoimmune)
-
Menstrual cycle and ovulation patterns
-
Egg quality support strategies
-
Digestive health, sleep, stress, and movement
-
Current eating habits and cravings
- Supplement review, including prenatal vitamins
-
Blood work and labs (if available)
From there, you’ll receive tailored nutrition guidance aligned with your cycle phase, lab data, and personal preferences—whether you’re preparing for an egg retrieval, supporting natural conception, or syncing nutrition with treatment.
Common focus areas:
-
Cycle-specific lifestyle (follicular vs. luteal)
- Learning about nutrients that support egg quality, especially from sources in your Chiyo meals (antioxidants, omega-3s, folate and coQ10)
-
Meal timing for blood sugar and hormone balance
-
Gut support for hormone regulation
-
Adjustments based on labs or symptoms
💬 Patient: “I’ve been told I have low AMH. Can nutrition still help?”
🩺 RD Nutritionist: “Absolutely. While AMH reflects quantity, we can focus on improving the quality of the eggs maturing now. Nutrients like CoQ10, vitamin E, omega-3s, and antioxidant-rich foods can help. We’ll also look at stress, blood sugar, and inflammation—all of which affect egg health.”
Session 2: Refining Your Plan: Midpoint Strategy & Cycle Syncing
This is your “let’s check in” session—what’s working, what needs adjusting, and how to keep things realistic and supportive as your cycle continues.
🔍 What we’ll cover:
-
Symptoms like bloating, cravings, energy, mood, or digestion
- Cycle tracking (ovulation tests, BBT, cervical mucus)
-
Meal/snack timing adjustments
- Supplement updates or refinements
-
Inflammation, stress, or adrenal support
-
Meal tweaks, or retrieval prep
Common focus areas:
-
Luteal-phase support and PMS management
-
Nutrient absorption and digestion
-
Anti-inflammatory strategies for implantation
-
Emotional eating or stress-related patterns
💬 Patient Q: “I get really bloated and exhausted in my luteal phase. What can I do?”
🩺 RD Nutritionist: “This phase can slow digestion and increase cravings. Notice in the Chiyo meals the warm, grounding meals with protein and fiber, reduced raw/cold foods, and boost magnesium and B6 with ingredients like pumpkin seeds, lentils, and dark leafy greens. You can keep a log of days that felt especially good or not to better learn your body's cues.”
Session 3: The Journey Ahead: TTC to Pregnancy or Deeper Support
Whether you’re in your two-week wait, newly pregnant, or still preparing, this session helps you move forward with clarity and confidence.
🧡 What we’ll cover:
-
Reflect on what’s improved (symptoms, energy, mood, digestion)
-
Identify what’s sustainable on your own
-
Address any lingering deficiencies or concerns
-
Transition your plan for early pregnancy or continued prep
-
Create a simple grocery list or meal plan based on your favorite meals
-
Adapt supplements or food choices based on pregnancy labs
Common focus areas:
-
Supporting implantation and early pregnancy with food
- Blood sugar and iron support for the first trimester
-
Navigating fatigue, nausea, or changing appetite
-
Next steps for nutrition if further treatment is ahead
💬 Patient Q: “I just had my embryo transfer—what now?”
🩺 RD Nutritionist: “Congratulations! Let’s support warmth, blood flow, and calm. Think broths, soft cooked vegetables, iron-rich meals, and plenty of hydration. We’ll also review your supplement stack and walk through what to expect next.”
