How to Make the Most of Your 3 Postpartum Nutrition Sessions
or, how to actually feel better instead of just surviving
You’re doing it. You birthed a human. You're navigating the wild terrain of postpartum—bleeding, feeding, healing, maybe crying into your noodles. And somewhere in the middle of it all, you’re also trying to eat?
Our approach: Strong start, lasting confidence
We’ll get you started on Chiyo’s First 40 Days Postpartum Restore program, with meals designed to give your body exactly what it needs right now. Complementing the program, you’ll have three sessions* with your RD (Registered Dietitian) with one goal: supporting your healing, energy, and whole-self nourishment in a way that actually fits your life. We equip you with tools and knowledge to keep nourishing yourself with purpose—long after the last delivery box.

Session 1: Where You’re At, What You Need
Think of this as your nutrition story intake.
Your RD Nutritionist will want to know everything from how you’re sleeping (or not) to what’s in your fridge to whether you’re still taking that prenatal.
We’ll talk what healing looks like for your body:
- Your current health status (labs, symptoms, medical history)
- Whether you’re breastfeeding or bottle-shaking or combo-everything
- Postpartum stage-specific needs (e.g., lactation support, recovery, energy demands)
- Your dietary habits, preferences, and food culture
- Lifestyle patterns including sleep, stress, digestion, and physical activity
- Vital signs and menstrual cycle patterns
- Nutrition-focused physical assessment (if applicable)
- Supplement and medication review
💬 You: “I’m not a breakfast person… but I heard skipping is bad for hormones?”
🩺 RD Nutritionist: “It's not the best for your hormones, but it's also not your fault - hunger cues can be snoozed postpartum and/or if your body has adjusted over time. Let’s chat about your morning routine to get you in the rhythm.”
Session 2: Okay, What’s Actually Working?
Now we’re tweaking, troubleshooting, and building on the wins.
We check in on:

Bloating, bowels, reflux, cravings, energy, mood, lactation & more

Feeding yourself when baby feeding takes center stage

Snacks when Chiyo meals run out (or when there are other mischievous hands in the fridge)
- Hormone stuff, thyroid stuff, blood sugar stuff
💬 You: “I crash at 3pm and I’m out of Chiyo snacks. What now?”
🩺 RD Nutritionist: “Let’s build you a backup: avocado on rice cake with gomasio, or a boiled egg + cukes + hummus.”
Session 3: Your Long-Term Nourishment Game Plan
This is the part where we zoom out.
You’ll reflect on what’s changed (yes, you'll see & feel it!), and your RD will help you map out what’s next:
